I Will Stand, Expire & Numb are now available to play, or to download for the eminently sensible price of 79p each, from http://www.amazingtunes.com. Simply type "The Wick Effect" into the search box and press "search"

New artwork to go with it too:

funny you should mention The House Of Love - we did think about doing a cover of one of their songs - Shine On. But Steve the bass player doesn't like that song. All their others, yes, but not that one

oh well

BTW stAn, I notice you'd logged onto AmazingTunes.com - was it you wot bought the songs? Cheers, much appreciated

"I Will Stand" by The Wick Effect has been nominated in the Track Of The Month poll at Woho Music, an online radio station and musical community.

we'd be reet grateful if you could go along to http://www.wohomusic.net, click on the "Competitions" tab, look for Track Of The Month, and vote for us :-)

You'll need to register with Woho Music, but it is free and only takes a minute or so. Then find the song in the list, have a listen if you haven't already heard it, and if you like it, click on the radio button next to the song and then click on the "Vote" button.

cheers folks

and one day I'll drag mine & Shaun's sorry backsides out for a BBMBC ride again

BTW the Library and Zuu Bar gigs are now confirmed:
26/2/2010 upstairs at The Library, Woodhouse Lane, Leeds - just past the uni; £4 on the door but the beer's cheap
5/3/2010 at Zuu Bar, Sunbridge Road, Bradford, opposite TJ Hughes (ex Sunwin House) in the city centre - £2 on the door

more gigs to come and we're aiming to play Ye Merrie Citie soon...
